About this Site

When I self-published my first book in 2015, I didn’t know how long and involved the editing and rewriting process would be. I didn’t know how much work it would take to prepare digital files and basic marketing materials. I didn’t know how hard it would be to promote a book.

I learned everything the hard and fun way, through curiosity, trial and error.

Since I first published, I hear the same questions again and again from new authors trying to get their book to market. How does the editing process work? Where should I upload my book? How do I get a cover? How do I get people to know my book exists?

This site addresses those practical questions. It doesn’t have all the answers but it should help you understand what you need to think about and where to find practical resources to help.
